The saree

We can’t talk about India without thinking about women and their shimmering color saree. This traditionnal attire is strongly emphasized in Bollywood films. It is often decorated with many jewels. The saree has a distant past, it seems that date 100 years before Jesus... The saree is only composed of a single piece, in fact, according to Hinduism, sewn clothing and pierced by needle is considered unclean.The sari appears in all india and wearing differently in different regions.

Often attracted to the garment, the French, we are, more than anything want to buy a saree in memory. The question that we are asked most often is: How do we put a saree? There are several steps: 
1: Put a small top handle, more or less tight, who discovers the stomach. Put an elastic skirt or leggings in the same color as the saree.
2: Take one of the widths of the saree and place it on the length of a side of a leg. Insert the edge of the saree into the skirt and make a full turn.
3: Maintain the saree on the side, then form 5-7 folds with more length, bending and folding the fabric itself.
4: Go around again with the fabric to your starting point, fold the extra fabric along its length and mount it to the next place on the opposite shoulder. Attach the saree on the shoulder with a pin placed on the top of the sleeve of her blouse.

Saree is suitable for any situation, it can be classic, traditional, chic, sexy ... The fabric of the garment has the distinction of being embroidered. There is much gilding, patterns and sometimes lace. The color of a saree is important and has a meaning
White: Color of mourning, worn by widows.
Blue: Color Shudra caste (farmer, artisan ...) Avoided by high castes.
Green: Sign of belonging to the Muslim communoté. Colors of marriage in certain region of India.
Saffron / Yellow: In some areas, the mother should wear a yellow saree for 7 days after the birth of the child. 
Rouge: Common color for wedding sarees
Black: Very rare, considered inauspicious.

Although traditional saree is also a big name of fashion... So dare Saree!
